Measure a loop under your child's armpits, passing the tape across fullest part of chest and around shoulder blades.

Waist
Measure a loop just above hipbone, around natural waistline.

"absolutely beautiful. The headpiece needed some shaping from getting crunched during shipping, but stayed secure with a bobby pin or two. I will say, the fabric was not what I expected. My daughter said it was really itchy on the inside but she just wore a tank under it. It was so beautiful that comfort wasn't as important! The wings are absolutely exquisite!! "

"This costume is beautiful. I bought this for my 7 year old daughter. She is lean and doesn't fit size 7-8 yet in clothes so I bought her the 6. It fit her perfectly, but with zero room to grow. I had read that others had issues with the "feathers" coming off but none of them came off for us. The large wings are beautiful, and she got many compliments on her whole outfit. You do have to purchase the wings separately. They do not come with the costume, although I originally thought they did. "

"The costume is beautiful. As others have said, it is a bit fragile. The straps for the wings are too easily stretched out. The fit is best for very tall and slender girls. The hat must be pinned on and arrived looking a bit squashed."

"My daughter wore this costume to a photo shoot in Central Park(NYC). She was a show stopper as the Golden Phoenix. My daughter is 3 years old; and she loves the attention. Not only the photographer took her pictures, but a few tourist ask to take her picture as well. This is the 2nd time I brought a costume from this company. My daughter always get compliments on the costumes. I also brought the accessories as well, which it set the costume off!!"

"Leaves Fall Off - I bought this for my daughter last year. The leaves that decorate this costume fall off easily and constantly. She left a trail of gold leaves throughout the house and down the street behind her. I would expect higher quality for how much this costs. - I would not recommend this product."
